Gisselle Herrera Morera

Full Professor in Spanish at the Escuela de Literatura y Ciencias del Lenguaje at Universidad Nacional (UNA). She graduated in Spanish Philology, Teaching of Castilian and Literature, and Linguistics from the University of Costa Rica (UCR). She ample experience in the teaching and researching in Hispanic Linguistics and Applied Linguistics in Spanish as a second language. She has been a member of various scientific committees in different conferences and reviewer for different national and international journals. She also has served as theses chair and reader for several students in the Licenciatura (Master’s equivalent) and at the Master’s program at UNA and UCR. She has published, as sole author or coauthor, books, journal articles, and conference presentations. Her work includes Destrezas (1999); Nuevo Mundo, Español como segunda Lengua. Survival Spanish: Effective communication (2009); «The Impact and Influece of Research on Higher Education» (2012); «El operador no en el español de Centroamérica: análisis tipológico» (2012); «El infinitivo personal de las oraciones adverbiales en el español de Centroamérica» (2015); Español de Centroamérica. Visión global y materiales para su estudio (2016); «Acercamiento al margen de variación tipológica del español en Centroamérica» (2017); Nuevo Mundo, Español como segunda Lengua. Nivel 2 (en prensa). She also has participated in different research and teaching projects and, since 2011, directs the research project titled (Margen de) variación tipológica del español en Centroamérica.
